Hi! My name is Bethanne, and I maintain an exclusive, small private flute studio in San Francisco. I also teach one day a week in Menlo Park, conveniently located at a music store. I will never accept more students than I can personally handle because teaching is a very sensitive process for me.
I have a very personal teaching philosophy, and I gravitate towards a gentle, Socratic style of teaching. I love to focus on my students’ needs as individuals, and to help them develop their own goals and monitor their progress on a personal level, rather than keeping all of my students doing the same thing at the same time at one speed. I like to personally design lessons and my teaching style around the varying temperaments and personalities of my individual students.
